Positive: It's a very nice property converted to a very high standard, with a lovely garden and surrounded by green spaces. Excellent parking including EV charges (untested) and great utility room for washing sports kit. Lovely size rooms all tastefully decorated. A really lovely place to spend time with family.

Negative: It's next door to a very noisy road. The traffic is extremely fast moving and at peak times very loud. The adjacent farm buildings seem to contain some sort of dogs which howl at night. Generally clean and tidy though a lot of cobwebs/dust suggested it was not thoroughly cleaned. We had a problem with a faulty heating system that it was not possible to deactivate. This meant that it was 27 degrees in every room on the first night and we did not sleep. Our host's response was less than ideal. I don't think he believed me or understood how unpleasant it was. In the end the system was deactivated but it took over 24 hours and was becoming a welfare issue as I was travelling with 2 elderly guests for whom the heat was becoming an issue. I got no empathy from the host.

Summary: Lovely house, a great space to spend time with family, let down by tardy response to a genuine issue

Positive: Beautiful, gorgeous property with an excellent array of good quality equipment. Very well maintained and clean. Everything provided to make your stay welcoming and stress free. Dave left a good range of food as a welcome pack which was appreciated as we arrived late off the ferry. Short 20/25 min walk into Castletown, taxis available if needed. Dave was extremely helpful and sorted a couple of issues we had promptly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend church farmhouse if you want a relaxing, countryside stay within walking distance of the town.

Positive: The property was fantastic, it was in a great location just outside Castletown making it easy to travel around the island. Each bedroom was sizeable, and each had an en suite. The living space was beautiful, newly renovated it had everything you require for a comfortable short or long term stay.

Positive: We had an absolutely fantastic time at Church View. The property is stunning, both inside and out and finished to an exceptionally high standard. It is set on the edge of a farm and the extensive gardens and views are breathtaking. We travelled with our two young grandsons who were able to run around the gardens in total safety. The interior decor is very tastefully done and the fixtures and fittings are top quality. There were lots of games and books in the conservatory/dining room to keep everyone happy. The property is all on one level and both bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom (one of which has disabled facilities). The owner, Dave, was very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. He had provided a lovely welcome pack with bread, butter, Manx cheeses, milk, Manx sausages, bacon, beans and tomatoes. We travelled to the IOM to visit family who live on the island and we had such a fabulous time at Church View that we are planning to return next summer.

Negative: There was absolutely nothing to dislike!!

Summary: Beautiful property in an ideal setting for a family holiday. We will definitely come again.
