Positive: I loved Mirla and Luis, they were extremely friendly. Choibana help me book tours with the best companies, the location was great with a private beautiful beach, the room was comfortable and very relaxing, I slept like a baby with the sound of the ocean, the sunrises were beautiful. The food was very good, the main source of protein is fresh tuna, but if you want something different, you can ask in advance and they will get it for you. I would definitely stay at Choibana again and I will recommend it.

Positive: The location and beach is incredibly beautiful. We were the only ones staying there so it felt like own private get away. The cabana is rustic but remarkably well kept and clean. WiFi is the main house is very fast. The owners are friendly and cooked every meal for us. We really enjoyed this off the grid get away.

Negative: The wifi doesn’t quite reach the cabana, but you could consider this a plus. Not close to Playa Huina so you would have to take a boat for a change of scenery.

Positive: The place is amazing, you can reach it within a quarter of an hour by boat from the town of Bahia Solano and it is absolutely worth it to enjoy the tranquility of the bay, the sea, spot whales and listen to their song. The transport from the airport to the hotel is very well organized, the owner himself took care of organizing everything and made sure that everything went well at every step. The staff is really helpful, kind and available at any time. The food is simple but very good and whenever it is available, you can enjoy the excellent fresh fish of the day. The location is the strong point of Choibana. Far from the town of Bahia Solano, it is like having a private beach, far from the light pollution to see the stars at night and far from the noise of the many boats crossing the bay, it is literally possible to immerse your head underwater and hear the whales singing. With a bit of luck the whales enter the bay and it is possible to spot them from the window of the room (keep in mind that not all rooms overlook the sea).

Negative: More than things we didn't like, these are a couple of suggestions for the place. We think that in the rooms you could add a couple more pieces of furniture, like a night table next to the beds with a reading lamp for the evening or mosquitos net on the windows. The mosquito net that we found on the bed was useful, but the square model (the one which can be used by installing four sticks at the edges of the bed) is more comfortable. Another suggestion that we had thought of, was maybe to add solar panels to heat the shower water, or, since electricity reaches the lodge, to equip the rooms with electric water heaters. On rainy days a hot shower is nice ;) The Internet does not reach the rooms, for us it was not a problem (for other guests it could be), but to work on the computer facing the sea, maybe the signal could be improved to make sure it reaches the chairs on the veranda facing the beach.
