Summary: We enjoyed a fantastic 2 night trip over the bank holiday weekend. This was a lovely place to stay, beautifully decorated throughout, VERY comfortable beds, very clean. Its in a peaceful location (2 minutes from the Chillingham cattle visitor centre). Our host Mhairi couldn't have been more thoughtful or welcoming during our stay. She is also very knowledgeable about the local area having lived there for 20+ years. Shes more than happy to offer some great suggestions. The breakfast that she cooks fresh every morning is wonderful and will keep you going for hours! There is a traditional full English breakfast on the menu (with locally made sausages), along with that there are lots of other options that you don't always see at hotels, like eggs benedict, avocado piled up high on sourdough toast and even delicious home made granola. All of the main attractions within the Alnwick area are within a short drive, like 25 minutes to Alnwick or Bamburgh castles. Several pubs are within 2-10 minutes drive too. There are 3 bedrooms here to stay in and 2 comfortable living rooms with welcoming fires that you can relax infront of with a drink and a good book on an evening. Absolutely wonderful, I haven't felt as relaxed as I did there in months! Would highly recommend :)

Summary: Great location in the middle of the Northumberland tourist attractions. Great quiet location, proper old fashioned mannor house. And the host is brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable. Just search for this place and you can find out more. ;-)
