Positive: Chez Marie Jo was exactly as described: comfortable spacious room with shared bathroom. The room, bathroom, and hotel overall were immaculately clean. Amenities in the room were limited (eg no kettle), but the host offered us tea upon our arrival in late afternoon. We stayed out of season and so, I expect, received rather more individual attention than in-season guests might.

Positive: Location was good. Host was friendly and helpful.

Negative: I thought I booked a room with a private bathroom but that wasn’t the case. The place wasn’t busy so we were able to manage. Room lacked a fridge which would have been handy. Bathroom wasn’t serviced at all and bed linens and towels didn’t seem fresh.

Summary: Good for backpackers and those on tight budget but not for travellers who want comfort or privacy.

Positive: The location is excellent, close to downtown and hiking trails. The host was excellent and made us feel very welcome, he went out of his way to help us celebrate our anniversary while we were there. Overall a great experience!

Positive: Friendly Caretakers - English was very little but they tried.

Negative: Room was not as advertised. My dorm bed in college was more comfortable. Room said to have private bath. It was shared by 4 rooms (7 guests?) Breakfast as a Cafe and a mediocre croissant. We were in France and the pastry was not good?

Positive: very friendly and helpful staff. breakfast included. the staff drove 5 of us, in 2 trips, to the ferry the morning we left. a very very nice, as it was early (8am boarding), and no taxi service was available.

Negative: it is the further bnb from the visitor center and ferry dock. (not their fault of course..just difficult to get to) and it is uphill. the bed was very low, whih is hard for elderly like me.

Summary: bnb was very nice, though far, and uphill to get there. lovely house, big windows let in sun.

Positive: Breakfast was good and as expected. The croissants, with a variety of jams, were superb. Marie Jo and her husband ensured that we had enough to eat and provided excellent French coffee! What made the stay so nice was how welcoming Marie Jo and her husband were and how accommodating they were in providing hiking and dining options. They even drove us to the airport on our morning of departure!

Negative: Nothing really to say on this. We had a wonderful stay and everything was as advertised.

Summary: Wonderful stay. Mary Jo and her husband are great hosts!

Positive: Spacious room with shower and toilet. On first floor. Very comfortable bed. A 10 minute walk to the harbour and restaurants - only a slight non strenuous ncline on return. Plenty of power points in room. Stayed during start of winter and shower and room were both warm / hot. Coffee and croissants / jam and juice for breakfast between 7.30am - 10.00am. Excellent hosts from the unexpected collection at the airport until the end of my stay. Highly recommend.

Negative: Be aware no refrigerator or electric kettle in room.

Summary: Comfortable option in St Pierre.
