Positive: We had a great time at Chettinad manor. Wonderful stay with homely breakfast —fluffy idlis, delicious sambar, paniyarams and coffee. The manager, Nagarajan, went above and beyond—he put together a personalised itinerary and even wrote it down on a paper for us. Additonally, compared to other heritage properties around Chettinad, this is a great budget option.

Positive: It was the perfect location for exploring the amazing Chettinad Mansions in the area…….and after a long day returning to the leafy streets around the Manor was a great pleasure……..and entering the main halls of the hotel a delight.

Negative: The payment section on booking.com asserts that the hotel accepts Visa card and other Credit Cards……..but in fact the hotel does not take these cards, so foreigners without indian bank accounts have to pay cash.

Summary: I had a wonderful stay at Chettinad Manor and recommend it to other visitors.
