Positive: I was greeted by Marie on arrival in Aislaby with my two female companions for a rendezvous & ride on the 'Flying Scotsman' from nearby Grosmont on Saturday morning. Access to the Wonderful Chestnut Barn Cottage was easy and entry provoked 'Oohs and Aaaghs' as we explored the various rooms, stunning decor & inspired furnishings ! (The staircase gives a masterful reference to the cottage's title ??!!) Bedrooms (2 Doubles,1 Family) & bathrooms are a design delight - - - Unfortunately we were only here for one night but found ourselves devising any reasons to return for longer as soon as possible for all the Chestnut Barn offered, including its proximity to the North Yorkshire Moors and Coast. Thank You Very, Very Much Marie and Matthieu !!!!

Negative: There was nothing we disliked - apart from the rain outside on Friday evening and that was replaced by sunshine and cloudless blue skies the following morning ??!!
