Positive: Great location, private, plenty of space. Loved the hot tub though it does take some planning to ensure it’s at the right temp for when you want to use it after a busy day! Jo was very helpful and the welcome fizz was very much appreciated. Very clean throughout.

Negative: Well kitted out safari tent although the absence of a sieve/colander and a coffee cafetière was a shame. The mattresses were a little on the firm side (a topper on the main double would help this) but otherwise very comfy. Using the toilet for anything other than a wee requires some fair warning to anyone sleeping in the bunk beds as the toilet is 6” from where they are sleeping separated by a canvas wall but open at the side- anyone who likes a private experience might struggle but we embraced this aspect! We did take ear plugs which I was glad of as the train is pretty noisy but you soon learn to tune it out and it didn’t impact sleep.

Positive: Amazing place. Jo, the host was exceptional. The wood burner was lit, the hot tub was hot and ready to use when we arrived. The place and lighting magical. Peace and tranquillity. Total luxury glamming. Beds so comfortable, complimentary refreshments, milk and a bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge. Well stocked with everything You won’t be disappointed if you book a stay here.

Positive: This was our second stay and we're so glad we chose it again. It's such a beautiful and tranquil spot. Perfect base for visiting family in Ottery St Mary and exploring southeast Devon. My Guide Dog loved having a roam around the campsite first thing every morning. We were fortunate to have sun for most of our trip, so we enjoyed the outside area and had a barbeque. The hot tub was fab again and thankfully Jo had it ready for our arrival. Sitting there in the warm twilight with a cold glass of fizz was just what we needed after a long drive. The tent is so well appointed and the space to relax in and around has been thoughtfully created. Lovely to walk around the quiet local back roads to Talaton, where there's a lovely well stocked shop, which was impressively open on the bank holiday weekend, and a cosy, friendly traditional pub for a proper Sunday roast. It's a fantastic spot to rest and recharge, off the grid with no distractions. Definitely booking for next year!

Positive: The lodge is in a beautiful spot, nice and quiet and private. The property was comfortable and clean, lovely welcome from the owner as well who helped us with our bags.

Positive: We had a great stay. The tent was comfortable and stylish, and had everything you would need. The hot tub was definitely an added bonus. Jo was very accommodating host, and we thought that flowers and a bottle of bubbly were very personal touch. Thank you.
