Positive: The property was gorgeous, well presented, very clean and had everything we could have wanted and more. The cottage was really cosy, a real treat with high spec amenities and wonderful hot tub. Would definitely return.

Positive: Amazing place ans absolutely immaculate. Great location and good for dog walks in the area.

Negative: We struggled a bit with the travel cot for our baby. The mattress seemed hard and lumpy in areas. I think it would be worth providing a different mattress (can buy for quite cheap) Apart from that the cottage and the property owners were fantastic. What I would say is Sykes have provided us appalling service. We had a few questions for the property owners prior to our stay. Having sent numerous messages through booking.com and to sykes, I got no response. Every communication just stated you needed to manage your booking through the portal. But this didn't work. When I rang sykes customer services to progress my query (multiple attempts) , the messaging stated they were aware of a problem with the portal. Straight after this message ir gave you further options, all of which asked you to use the portal. It then cut you off. Therefore impossible to speak to anyone at Sykes Fortunately I found a mobile number for the property owner who was great and resolved my query instantly. I would never knowingly book Sykes cottages moving forward.
