This wonderful spacious self catering cottage is located 2 miles from the charming village of Ardgroom with pub, restaurant, supermarket/deli, church and petrol station.
This is a spacious 2 storey accommodation with large kitchen/diner, sitting room, bedroom and bathroom with shower on the ground floor. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and bath. Summary: We were exceptionally happy with Maureen's wonderful house. It was quiet, remote and stunningly beautiful. We watched sunrises every morning from our bedroom.....they were brilliant. The walks and trails around the peninsula were excellent. We had great experiences in the surrounding towns. The beer was excellent, the baked goods to die for, the friendliness of those we met was great. The house itself has a very well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed most nights cooking at "home" and enjoying the view. We picked berries and met lots of dogs and cats who wanted to be our friends. Beds and bedding very comfortable. It's hard to put our finger on why this is such a welcoming place, but we sure felt it every day of our two weeks here. Maureen was available by phone if and when we had a question. We had a serene time.

Summary: This house is truly exceptional, maintained and equipped to a very high standard throughout, spotlessly clean, light and airy. This property affords magnificent panoramic views of Ardgroom Inward from every window taking advantage of its elevated position above the bay. The outdoor table is an ideal place to enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of wine while savouring the stunning scenery The house is located in an area that is uniquely peaceful and quiet, the solitude is priceless there are no street lights and hardly any traffic on the lane. “ Splendid Isolation. “ Having made six trips to Ireland, twice to Ardgroom Inward, we are very much of the opinion that this location and the Beara Peninsula offers the most magnificent scenery. There are plenty of lovely days out from the house, Kenmare in particular is a lovely little town, not forgetting the tiny nearby village that is friendly, welcoming and picturesque. Maureen makes the booking process easy from start to finish and responds quickly to any questions, it is fair to say Maureen is an exceptional owner who not only cares for her lovely house but also those who rent it. Summary: We really had a good time and it was very tranquil. We would have appreciated directions on how to get to the property. Thankfully, people at the local pub gave us wonderful instructions. We also did not know where the refuse/recycling place was or that we needed to pay to have that done. We left funds for that. That being said though we had a truly awesome adventure and the weather was good for us!

Summary: Our home for a week was better than I imagined. Very comfortable arrangements. Great sleeping. Easy to cook. Efficient laundry facilities. We loved the country/bayside setting. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Long walks down winding lanes. We met a local farmer and his sheep. Highly recommend this house for a holiday. Lots to see and do on Beara. Thanks, Maureen and Hannah.
