Welcome to the Contrada San Domenico, a charming residence embellished throughout with authentic frescoes and XVII century paintings and illuminated by lamps of the finest Italian design. The apartment is on the first floor (without elevator) of a historic building of XVII century, on one of the most elegant streets of the center of Mantua. Bordered by ancient palaces, among the most beautiful in the city, Contrada San Domenico is only a few steps from the major attractions that have made Mantua famous in the world.

The apartment, of 180 square meters, has two double bedrooms (one with a large sitting room with television), two bathrooms, each with shower, and a spacious kitchen equipped with a large island and elegant furnishings, in addition to appliances of the best German brands. The comfortable living room has seating for up to eight people. The living room and the master bedroom are equipped with a stereo system. The apartment can accommodate six guests, as one of the sofas is a sofa-bed. The apartment is equipped with bed, bath and kitchen linens, dishes and utensils, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. A covered and guarded parking is available a few meters from the apartment.
We fell in love with "Contrada San Domenico", whose beauty has revealed itself to us little by little, thanks to the meticulous restoration of three skilled restorers, without whose precious help the frescoes, that today are testimony to art, history and beauty, would still be hidden.

Summary: I wish I could give more than five stars to this apartment. It is not only exquisitely beautiful with restored frescos in every room but supremely comfortably as well. Isotta checked us in and gave a comprehensive tour of the flat. As it turned out she knew the place intimately having worked on restoring the frescos for over a year. The flat is vast-about 1800 sq. feet. , well located to all the major sight and comfortably furnished. It is also very quiet. I can not recommend this apartment highly enough. My husband and I have rented many flats but we have never stayed in such a lovely place before. It has the added advantage of a functional washer and dryer.

Summary: Remarkable renovation of spacious old apartment (the photos show it very well). In the center of the old city close to sights, shopping, restaurants, and takeaways. No one was available to meet us on arrival, but the owners guided us in by phone with no problems. Highly recommended.

Summary: The appartment was super, very close to the city, bakeries and cafes. The interior is wonderful with old frescoes, beautifully restored. All necessary amenities are provided. There are also a washing machine, dryer, hairdryer, coffee machine. The rooms and bathrooms are ultra clean. We had a fabulous time and can recommend this sophisticated appartment.
