Summary: I traveled with a friend and it was our first stay on Corsica. Robert and Michelle welcomed us at their place. As the apartment is situated on the lowest level in the house, they are always around in case you would need them. Everything you need is in the apartment, wonderful garden and great swimming pool. The road to the house is a bit difficult but you get used to it easily. It's about 30 minutes drive to the supermarket. We had a great stay. Thank you Robert and Michelle.

Summary: A €50 cleaning fee is requested on check-out unless visitors willing to clean property from top to bottom prior to check-out, this fee came as a disappointing suprise and wasnt advised in any communications from home and away, this fee should have been incorporated into property rental price. I hope home and away address this in its advertising and email confirmations to avoid further customer frustration. I've found the home and away brand very good up until now.

Summary: You can't get to heaven without a little bit of effort and the road up to San Lorenzo is not for the faint hearted. However, once there the beauty of the mountains, the fragrant garden and the birdsong makes this a paradise. Robert and Michelle are very welcoming hosts. Robert speaks good English, (without a hint of a Scottish accent!) and was very helpful in recommending places to visit and local produce to try. As recommended, make sure you take all your provisions, it is a 30 minute drive back for a pint of milk. The accommodation is no frills old world French; spacious and cool. As we enjoyed a week of glorious weather we ate every meal in the garden and began and ended the day with a dip in the spacious and well maintained pool. A truly memorable experience.

Summary: Roberto & Michelle are fantastic. The apartment is very nice and they are willing to help in anything needed. Their recomendations are great and to be taken in acount. San Lorenzo is a very special place. The views, the forrest and the villages that suround it are incredible. The roads in Corsica are all narrow and you have to be carefull when driving. and San Lorenzo in this sense is not an exception. We had a wondefull time.

Summary: Greeted by the wonderful Robert and Michelle we were shown to the apartment, where everything was spotless and better than we imagined. A really great place to get away from everything with hosts that were always available but left us to get on. Corsica was a wonderful place to visit and Robert was full of recommendations. Be prepared for an interesting drive to get to the apartment but we certainly felt became part of the charm. Robert and Michelle thanks and thanks again, we absolutely loved it!

Summary: We had a perfect week there. The hosts are very welcoming. If you need anithing, they will help you out. It`s a house in the hills, so be prepared...The next supermarket ist about 20 km away. But for this, you have a quiet nice flat with almost no noise. Some very good hikes are nearby or can be reached within less than one hour. Perfect!

Summary: We experienced a wonderful welcome from Robert and Michelle, who were more like family! They were very helpful with places to go, and were generous and caring in their hospitality. The house is lovely - amazing setting, as long as you like a mountain drive, very peaceful, great pool with a lovely view. Nearest shops are half an hour away so you need to be organised, but it's well worth the retreat. Fab!

Summary: We had a fantastic week at this little apartment. . Robert and Michelle are very helpful and gracious, but also unobtrusive hosts. . The quality of the house and the surrounding scenery –especially the view from the pool - are even more perfect in real life than in the pictures. The house is very clean and stays cool in hot weather. The neat and pretty outside area is set up for shady and easy outdoor relaxing and eating- complete with the BBQ. It is a very peaceful location. Although next to the road, which makes for easy access to the house, there are very few passing cars. The roads up to hamlet are very steep and twisty but you get used to it quite quickly. - There are no restaurants or food shops close by but this makes a good excuse to go out for lunch when exploring! Our stay here was an excellent introduction to Corsica- thank you Robert and Michelle. Tip for UK visitors –. If you arrive on the Sunday flight you need to stock up before you start up the mountain to San Lorenzo. Supermarkets seem to close at lunch time on Sundays!

Summary: When you want to say something about our vacation in shortness: it was a great time we had here in Corsica and especially in San Lorenzo in the house of Robert and Michelle. When you want to tell more about it... the place here would not be sufficiently to describe all. :-)... The house with the garden and the pool is a perfect source for regeneration, when you are looking for silence embedded into a lovely nature around. Of course it takes a while to drive from the main road to San Lorenzo, but it is 100% worth to do it and to immerge into the Castagniccia. From here it is than very easy to reach nearly the whole north of the island in more or less short time. When you want to make a hiking tour in the mountains: you are there in less than one hour, when you want to have a day on wide sandy beaches you need also only less than one hour. And when you want to make a trip by train... in 20min you are on the train station. All of that makes a stay here perfect and you realize, how you slow down over the time. The flat itself is very modern and tasteful arranged and includes all what is really needed in a perfect quality. The owners are very anxious to keep that level for their guests. And of course we enjoyed the warm welcome and the help from Robert and Michelle, everytime when it was needed. Both have given us to the beginning of our stay valuable hints and some ideas, where you can see what, and both where everytime reachable in case of questions. They made our three weeks stay finally perfect as hosts, who brought us closer to that village, the people, the French language :-) and Corsica itself. And it is agreed that we will come back...!
