The cottage is located in the countryside, and enjoys a quiet environment, ideal for recharging one's batteries, and making beautiful walks on our marked trails, on foot, by bicycle or on horseback. The cottage is located in the town of AUREL, 20 km from Crest or Die for all shops.
Leisure: tennis at 8 km, horse riding at 5 km, hiking and mountain biking on site, descent from the Drôme by canoe, kayak in the Roanne valley but also visit the village of Die to taste Clairette and stroll around market or Crest and its high keep, as well as many perched villages in the surrounding area (Mirmande, Chabrillan, Grâne, Mirabel and Blacon, etc ...)

Summary: Charming house in very nice rural surroundings. Beautiful views from the property. Friendly and accommodating host couple who gave tips and good advice for excursions as needed. Can definitely be recommended and we would like to return another time.

Summary: The house at La Pigne was a great size for 11 people, the bedrooms, kitchen and living room were all large and there were good sized internal and external seating areas for meals and relaxing. The pool was ideal for both young and old and the garden was fantastic for games and lounging. The hosts were always available via phone for any questions we had. What really sells the house though is the location as the views from the garden are 360 degrees of green hills and vineyards, no pictures can really do it justice. The house is 1 mile from the local village with supermarket, boulangerie and restaurants, larger towns within 20 minutes drive. The Drome and Roanne rivers are both within 1 mile and the Roanne Valley (tumbling river with bathing pools and great climbing was 5 miles away). I cycled and walked everyday, the area is pretty hilly but you can get flat walks if required. We rarely ever return to the same area but this house has made us reconsider that.
