Summary: We had a wonderful stay here. The views of the lake are absolutely amazing and the property was very spacious for a family of four. We loved having access to the private beach which is really secluded and a great place for swimming. We loved the privacy of both the house and the beach - most other ‘private’ beaches were actually shared! Hiring the boat gave us a different perspective and is a great way to get around. Both the beach and boat made us feel we had privileged access to the lake. All round, a great place and holiday!

Summary: We had a wonderfully relaxing week in Pella. The house is within walking distance of the town. Paolo, the owner, sorted out the minor difficulties with the property on our first day there. We had a lovely time and would consider returning for another holiday.

Summary: Looking back at previous reviews: Yes, there are mosquitoes in August. Thinking back, the best prevention is to wear light trousers and long sleep tops! Yes the private beach is 10 minutes’ walk from the property, the descent is steep and it is a stone beach (but you are by a lake!) but the total privacy and the beauty of the spot is so worth it! Yes the access to the house is steep but after all the food from the local shop and the restaurants you will be glad of the exercise! Alternatively, you can drive. Paolo was the perfect host and went way beyond what we expected to make us feel welcome. The house is far more spacious and comfortable than we thought and the photos on the website really don't do it justice. Sitting on the terrace at night with the view of the island with only the sounds of the cicadas in the background is the most peaceful time ever. The village of Pella is not crowded with tourists and it is quite refreshing. Being able to just walk there for dinner was a definite plus. We didn’t do as much as we wanted and we kept saying: “Next time” because we will definitely be coming back!
