Summary: What isn't evident from the photos is that this gîte is made up of an older part and a new "tower" part - but that both are now to the same, modern standards. People should be aware that three of the rooms are on the three floors (inc ground) of the tower, so there are quite a few stairs which may be daunting for some. The main bedroom en suite at the top has fantastic views over to the Pyrenees, but does have the slight downside that the en suite bathroom doesn't have a toilet, which is down a floor. The location is great, only a fraction over an hour from Toulouse and the airport on quiet roads in this, one of the quietest départments. What Gers lacks in organised stuff to do it makes up for in lovely open countryside and fantastic walks even just around the property itself. Happy evenings birdwatching from the verandah (and noisy nights from the resident Little Owl). Virginie as host is both very local and happy to help with any requests. Also v quick to respond.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at this property as a group of 6 friends. The villa & its surroundings are beautiful and the house itself is fantastic! We had a really lovely time.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay in France. The house was in a superb location with great views and more than enough room for all of our family. We really enjoyed this as our base and thank you to the hosts for allowing us to stay in their house!

Summary: The first impression of the house is incredible- it’s very isolated and located in the rolling hills of the French countryside. We are quite a noisy group and nobody heard us throughout our stay. The usual concern is that the house might look worse than in pictures, however this was quite the opposite: The house is nicer and a lot bigger than it seems in photos. The house is very modern and appears as if it was recently renovated which gave a lovely feel. Features such as the large, open showers and American fridge/freezer really made a difference to our stay. The outside areas and pool are, again, nicer than in the pictures. The pool looks slightly small in photos but in real it’s large enough (not really for doing laps, but for cooling down/ floating around it’s perfect). Virginie was a lovely, attentive host who did everything to make our stay comfortable- I couldn’t fault her. Overall, I found this property to be outstanding value for money. You won’t find properties of this calibre in the region for a better price!
