Cora's Cottage was built by my husband, Kenny's grandfather Harry and is named for Harry's wife, Cora. We love this sweet cottage, it is so warm and welcoming - your home-away-from-home. A large eat-in kitchen provides a bright space for preparing meals, playing board games or planning your day. The portable dishwasher will make clean-ups easy! And to smooth wrinkles in your traveling clothes there is a full-sized ironing board and steam iron provided for your use. Two coffee makers (one Mr. Coffee and one single-cup brewer), blender and microwave are provided. A grill is available for outdoor bar-b-ques. A screened front porch makes a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or a bug-free respite on a nice evening. Parking for your car on the premises or just a short walk to the bus stop for transportation to the beaches or the capital city and all points in-between! Historic Wickford and East Greenwich are within minutes for great dining and shopping. Or if you want to take a little longer trip, the "Fast Ferry" to Martha's Vineyard is close by and historic Newport is within a half-hour drive for fabulous dining, scenery and tours of the Gilded Age Mansions! Our capital city, Providence offers terrific night life with "Water Fire", museums, theater and great restaurants! If your stay is work related, the second bedroom can serve as an office, with a writing desk, wifi and printer provided.
Cora's Cottage is a non-smoking property.
The house sleeps up to four (4) people. The main bedroom is spacious with a queen bed and windows for light and fresh air. The second bedroom sleeps two with a day-bed that can be configured as two twins or joined together to make a "king" bed for a couple. The cottage is sunny and bright with lots of windows. Room-darkening blinds are provided on all the windows. A large air conditioner cools the whole house quite well, but a smaller window air conditioner is provided in the main bedroom as well to assure your comfort.
There is a large, sunny back yard that includes a large vegetable garden. The flowering plants and the vegetable garden are maintained by the owners who live on the adjacent property. If we have a good growing season, a wonderful Rhode Island tomato may be in your future! We look forward to your arrival!
We know many people like to travel with their pets. Cora's Cottage is dog-friendly for dogs up to 40 pounds. For your pet's safety, and to help maintain the property we do require that pets be crated if owners will be leaving them alone for any length of time. We provide the crate and/or a playpen and a comfy bed. We have a designated "Potty" area and provide waste bags for cleanup. We look forward to meeting your pup(s) and you!!

Summary: Cora’s Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. The home has everything you might need to include a screened in porch and a large backyard. The property is centrally located in Rhode Island and close to beaches. Kenny and Ruth live next door and are the best property managers and neighbors you could ever have. They are both very communicative and ensure that you have everything you need every step of the way…to include going above and beyond by providing a small continental breakfast and coffee for your first morning and veggies from their garden if in season. We loved the home and Ruth and Kenny so much we came back for a second stay! Highly recommend!!

Summary: We loved our stay with Kenny and Ruth. They are lovely hosts and the cottage is so cute and clean, and incredible history of the cottage construction by Kenny's grandfather. We found the cottage centrally located for all our interests, close to the bike path and Calf Pasture Beach, Audubon centers, and nature trails. Would definitely stay here again :)
