ACCOMODATION PRICES

THE SETTING
- Charming cottage for two, 40 sq. meters inside, and a huge private terrace (80 sq. m.) with jacuzzi, pergola, solarium, lounge chairs, dining table...
- Unique, spectacular and panoramic view over the Gorges de l'Ardèche.
- A wild and totally preserved nature, absolute calm all year round, and a provençal climate
- Build in a traditional provençal "mas", the cottage has its own private entrance (we live in a distinct part of the building, facing south).
- Located in a very calm and quiet area of Balazuc, the house is a few minutes walk from the the center of the village and the river: you won’t need to take your car to go to a restaurant, have a drink in the village, or go for a little swim in the river.
- Balazuc, a medieval village classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France and among the Villages de Caractère, is nearby first class natural, cultural and historical sites, such as the Grotte Chauvet, the Gorges de l'Ardèche, or the Aven d'Orgnac, just to mention a few of them.
EQUIPMENT & SERVICES
- Comfortable, stylish and cosy, high quality furnitures, upscale amenities.
- Main living room with an open and fully equiped kitchen (induction hotplate, oven, refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher), dining table and lounge area (sofa, flat TV, Netflix, DVD player, bluetooth station).

Summary: It’s all been said about the view - it is fabulous and just sitting looking at it calms you down along with the distant sound of the river. It was a stop for us in our world rugby tour and totally did the job. Clean, well equipped and comfortable. A bonus was being to get Netflix when we had a rainy day! All the basics are there for cooking too. Tom was responsive and discreet which is the perfect combination

Summary: I can only repeat what the other reviewers have already stated. The gite was very clean and tastefully furnished and decorated. The position of the gite couldn't have been better with the stunning view over the gorge from the bedroom and the terrace. We enjoyed our strolls on the footpath near the gite to the village and the river. Tom and Alice were the perfect hosts - very friendly and welcoming, but unobtrusive. We have recommended this gem to our friends. Thank you Tom and Alice for such a wonderful holiday x

Summary: The gîte is just as beautiful as the pictures. It was clean and decorated to a very high standard. The facilities are beyond the usual expectations with a lot of little touches like a supply of herb, salt, oil, tea and coffee in the kitchen, dressing gowns in the bathroom and extra blankets and cushions. The bed was extremely comfortable and the living room was a relaxing and well appointed space. The kitchen had everything that you will need if you wish to cook a full meal. The terrace has the sun from about 2pm allowing a morning spent in the shade and an afternoon spent in the jacuzzi! Tom and Alice, who own the gîte, welcomed us like old friends and were able to give us details and recommendation of near by restaurants, shops and attractions. We had contact details for them and nothing was too much trouble. The gîte is a short walk along a foot path to the village, where there is a good range of restaurants. There is also a small shop selling essentials like bread, cheese and wine! The closest super market is in the next town and the owners will be happy to provide directions. There is also parking which makes this a good spot to use as a base if you wish to explore the area, however we spent most of our time on the terrace enjoying the sun and the view. I recommend Le 180 without hesitation.
