5 minutes from OLORON SAINTE MARIE at the entrance to the Aspe Valley, at the end of a dead end (calm assured!), the mill of Eysus, majestic Bearnaise house bathed in lush greenery and white water offers the "GÎTE DU MOULIN" Entirely restored, this mill was rebuilt with ecological materials, such as wood, lime and hemp... In the living room, a large slab of glass on the floor offers a breathtaking view of the canal and maybe you will have the chance to see some stingy trout.
You also have a common access to the kiosk located a few steps in the meadow where you will relax and enjoy the calm and tranquility of the place just punctuated by the waterfall of the Gave, and the new vegetable garden Yin / Yang where you can pick your vegetables, maybe some strawberries! as the seasons go by ...

Summary: Although it looks like a older building in the pictures, this cottage is a newer build (maybe 20 years or so?). It is located in a very beautiful part of Southern France - a car here is a necessity but driving is easy. The cottage was clean, the beds were adequate, and the window in the floor overlooking the floor is very cool. We had to request some things that are normally provided without request - enough toilet paper, a clean sponge, and bath towels- but they were provided upon request. Visitors should not expect to find any of the little extras (such as paper towels, salt and pepper, etc) but the kitchen worked well, and there was plenty of hot water. Our host was pleasant, and between my French and his English we communicated fine.
