The units at Talhouet have been restored to a very high standard. They are very well equipped and furnished. It is an ideal base to explore the coast and countryside in Southern Brittany.There is a large heated pool 12m x 5m which is shared with our other gite, Sweet Chestnut cottage.

Talhouet Kerquere is located in the very pretty commune of Quistinic, which is also the home of POUL FETAN, a restored Breton village where you can experience a taste of Brittany as it was a couple of centuries ago.
We are only 5 mins from the Blavet river where you can hire Kayaks or take a guided boat trip to explore the river. There is a towpath alongside the river which is not accessible to cars but ideal for cycling, fishing or just walking.
There are numerous restaurants and bars within a 15 min drive.
Newly opened in 2014 is a young childrens theme park called KINGOLAND which is about a 20 min drive near Locmine.
There is something for everyone in Brittany, a perfect holiday location for families or couples.

Summary: The cottage is in lovely countryside and we enjoyed visiting lots of nearby places - especially St Nicolas-des-eaux, Kingoland and Carnac. The pool was lovely but the house itself was not clean, the bedsheets and towels smelt fusty, the shower leaked through the ceiling and the dishwasher stopped working during our stay (though Rob did come to sort it out and Rosie and the owner were very responsive).
