Negative: Our stay at the charming Notre Dame apartment was anything but. The only real perk is the location—if you don’t mind checking in at 4 PM only to find the cleaner still scrambling to remove traces of the previous guests. If you enjoy the charm of half-used toothpaste in the bathroom, broken skirtings, dirty walls, malfunctioning cupboards, and a trash bin with a lid that refuses to cooperate, then this is the place for you. The real highlight? The delightful morning aroma of sewage wafting into the basement bedroom, likely courtesy of the tenants above. And if that’s not enough, the skylight adorned with brown tape and a dirty dish towel in the other bedroom adds a special touch. But the true pièce de résistance? A mysterious red stain on the bedsheet—just the kind of welcome you want for a weekend in Paris. We left hastily after one night and are still arguing over a full refund for the remaining 2 nights.

Positive: Location was perfect. Quick walk to metro, easy walk to Latin quarters, Notre dame, louve. Quiet neighborhood with lots of restaurants right around, after a busy day. We walked about a block away every morning and afternoon for fresh pain au chocolates. The apartment is on the first floor with entry straight off the street. One bedroom was below ground.

Positive: The flat was amazing and so cool. Location was perfect and a Paris neighborhood feel! I loved staying here.

Negative: The cleaner left an Overloaded dryer; therefore, the towels and sheets were not dry. The washing machine did not work; however, Samuel was the best and helped me with the few things that needed to be done to make it work. It would have been nice if the cleaners would have had everything ready for us to have dry towels and sheets and cleaned out the washing machine for it to be ready to use.

Summary: I would love to stay in this place again! It was so nice, and our host Samuel was so very helpful!
