Positive: Me and my family were super excited to stay at the apartment in Varkiza, the apartment was very clean and cozy, we remained with 4 family members, good air conditioning, Dimitra is super responsive host, provided excellent recommendations, nearby is a good fish restaurant, the most tastiest fish we tried, sea bream, and there are three big shops nearby, sea beach would take arround 5-7 minutes of walk. Excellent place to stay. Kitchen and living room as well were very good, highly recommending!

Negative: all was good.

Summary: Highly recommend both the apartment and the host!

Positive: The apartment is well appointed and comfortable, with air conditioning. Eleni made us feel welcome. She had left us extras like biscuits and coffee pods. The apartment is within walking distance of the beach, supermarkets, and numerous restaurants, grills and tavernas. There are two cafes for breakfast very close. There is free parking on the street.

Negative: It is a first floor apartment with access by stairs which could be a problem for some people.

Summary: Very comfortable apartment with all facilities we needed nearby.

Positive: Host - Perfect from checking to checking out. Communication was great and any questions we had were answered very promptly. There were some food and drinks left in the kitchen for us on arrival this was much appreciated after a late night delayed flight! Apartment - Perfect for our family of 4. Our host provided a choice of a cot bed/sofa bed for our youngest. Both bedrooms were well sized and the air con worked very well in all rooms. Kitchen was well equipped and the living area was a decent size and comfortable. Use of the washing machine was great. Everywhere was clean including all towels and bed sheets. Location - The apartment is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood area. There is a small organic/health food supermarket just a couple of minutes away or the is a larger general supermarket and pharmacy down the hill about 7 mins. There is a nice local bar round the corner which serves breakfast and food all day. It also has 2 pool tables, TVs showing sport and the staff are very nice. There is also a playground in front of the apartment for kids. There are 2 beaches nearby - The fee paying Varkiza beach resort is about 15 mins walk. We went here once and found it expensive and the music was quite loud. The free beach another 5 mins after this was great with a lovely seafood restaurant (try coming in the night). No shortage of places to eat

Negative: The apartment itself was great - couldn't fault it. If you have issues walking - the walk back up the minor hill might be difficult. I would say if you were looking to do trips into Athens it's about 26Euros via taxi as it’s a far distance. Public transport is possible but we didn't try this. Our host made us aware of the ‘Beat’ taxi app which has been really helpful.
