Positive: Quite remote simple little apartment vlose to Rapperswil-Jona. Lovely neighbourhood, nice staff.

Negative: It was a tad cold, since the weather was unexpectedly cold for August. Also, since it was on the bottom floor, the stone floor was very cold.

Positive: Stunning picturesque & peaceful little place. Our only neighbours for the night were the cows. 🤩 Very basic but had everything we needed. Friendly host despite an obvious language barrier. Great shower.

Positive: Rural location, a studio style apartment with a lovely little patio in the garden. Great spot for hiking in the local countryside without having to drive. Basic kitchen equipment, but augmented by our own camping bits and bobs, meant we could eat in both nights, having shopped for groceries in Wald.

Negative: Nothing really, but be aware of the low beams in the ceiling if you are tall!

Positive: Perfect location, idyllically situated up a mountain. HARD to find!! Use your Google Maps to find the property against booking.com photos! STAGGERING views, especially at sunset!!! Lovely calves with bells around their necks was the only sound to be heard. Wonderful basement room, with lots of space. Good shower. Only very briefly saw the owner, found the key in the door.

Negative: No restaurant nearby (that was open). 10 minute drive back down to local town. Bed was awful, unfortunately. Was a tiny Z bed which was very short and uncomfortable.

Summary: Excellent base or overnight stay - as long as they supply a new bed!
