Positive: This place is so much bigger than advertised. You get the whole house, with a downstairs sofa and fridge. Its on a quiet street and convenient for the central market, local bars on the waterfront and the dock to Nicaragua.

Negative: The upstairs was quite hot during the day, although the air conditioning did work well in the bedroom.

Summary: Great value for money, friendly hosts and a really good option for a few nights

Positive: Really clean apartment. We stayed one night to catch the ferry to Nicaragua - an easy walk from the apartment. We liked that it had a fridge and air conditioner in lounge and bed room.

Negative: It would be good if there was a toilet seat on the toilet. Would also be great if there was filtered water on the property. I would not stay in La union for more than one night. Felt dingy with lots of seedy bars. Fine to stop on way to somewhere else.

Positive: The owner was very friendly, spoke englisch and the check in went very smouth! Defenitly not a hostel, it was more like an appartment! You have so much space. 2 different seating areas and a big 4 person bedroom!
