Super well located apartment in the heart of ancient Rione Monti.
The apartment is at the second floor (third floor for Americans) of a typical historical building in Rione Monti. It is composed by: kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom, bathroom and a small terrace for smokers. The kitchen is full equipped, with oven, microwave, washing machine, big fridge and refrigerator, cooking machine with beater and mixer, dishes, pans, pots, etc. The dining room has a large wooden table with six chairs (more chairs are available in the house) and a big wall closet. The living room is furnished with a big wooden bookcase and a comfortable double sofa/bed. The bedroom is spacious and has a big double bed, bedside tables and a wooden desk with two chairs. The bathroom is close to the bedroom and has bidet and shower. In the antechamber of the bedroom there is a big wardrobe with drawers and crutches which is completely empty, ready for the use of guests.
In house there is a very useful fan that you can put wherever you want while in the bedroom there's a ceiling fan. Anyway because of the disposition of the windows even in summer there's always a nice air in the house that refreshes the ambient so that it is never hot. On the other hand it is also warm during the winter thanks to the good heater.
In the building there is unfortunately no lift as most of the buildings in the area which is of historical interest because of his typical architecture. Indeed, Rione Monti is one of the most ancient districts of Rome. There are a lot of cool bars and pubs, good small restaurants and stylish shops. In particular, Piazza Santa Maria dei Monti (2 min walking) is a central point for the roman night life. As for the facilities, there at least two supermarkets and pharmacies round the corner.
public transportation and touristic attractions in a walking-distance: it is 5 min walking from the metro B stop Cavour and Piazza del Quirinale, 10 minutes walking from Colosseum, the roman forums, Piazza Venezia and Fontana di Trevi. It is well connected with public transports, at least 5 bus lines take you to Termini station (which is just 20 minutes by walk anyway) and to almost all the most important historical attractions like the Vatican and Circo Massimo.
The guests will have access to the whole apartment of about 65 sqm. Nobody else than them will be in the house.

Summary: From early booking Anna was in contact with us and was very helpful with our flight arriving before check-in time and our flight out long after checkout, we where able to leave luggage which helped us greatly. We were greeted on the day by her father Paula who was very friendly and gave us some great tips. The location was perfect, great bars and restaurants right on the doorstep and everything within walking distance. I was worried about the bedroom - with the window being next to a road and the only way to cool down being the overhead fan but my doubts were quickly put away, the fan did more than enough in the evenings that let us sleep cool and we didnt hear anything with the window closed even when we slept in past 10:30 one day. The entire place was very well equiped and very spacious, wouldn't hesitate to book again if I revisit rome, we had a brilliant time!

Summary: We spent 3 days in Rome and the description of this place sounded great. It is. The hosts father met us and gave us a tour of the apartment. It is filled with antique furniture, but very modern amenities. There are dozens of restaurants within a 2 block radius and its close to bus lines and the train station.

Summary: This apartment is amazing! It is large and has everything you could need for a single night or for a multi-night stay. The bed is comfortable, and the kitchen is well-stocked with cookware and basic food items. The location couldn't be better - a short walk to the Colisseum/Forum, and close to multiple subway and bus stops. The only small problem is that the shower is quite small - too small for a big man like my husband. But he managed, and everything else was just perfect. Paolo went out of his way to make sure everything was right. He spent quite a while our first evening explaining not only the apartment, but also much of the history and sites near the apartment. There was a small plumbing problem when we arrived, which he went out of his way to repair on Easter Sunday. I would definitely stay here again if I make it back to Rome.
