Positive: The location is convenient for the ferry to Isle de Goree from Gare Maritime. Khadija and Mohammed (spelling?) were both very friendly and helpful.

Negative: I'm vegetarian, so I could't eat much of the food offered for breakfast. One improvement would be cheese with vegetarian - not animal - rennet.

Summary: Great value for money with friendly, helpful staff.

Positive: Brilliant staff, incredibly clean. Felt very safe at this hotel!

Negative: Didn’t feel safe walking at times towards the market as a woman. Not the fault of the hotel, felt very safe there although the market is nearby.

Positive: Very nice very central accommodation. The hosts were very friendly and offered very tasty dinner as well as breakfast. The rooms are modern and very clean. We organised a tour to Touba with them as well as an airport pickup. Both things worked seamlessly. Communication with them via WhatsApp worked very well.

Negative: Honestly nothing.

Positive: We stayed here on our first two nights in Dakar. Being about a 10-15 minute walk to the port where the boat leaves for Gorée Island, it was a practical stay for us but also a comfortable one. It felt a little soulless on arrival as there's no check-in desk but Khadija and other staff were very friendly and explained things to us. They also helped us to change money. It was handy being able to order dinner via WhatsApp and all the meals and breakfasts were delicious. They even made a special vegetarian Mafé for us. 🙏🏻

Negative: The street outside is very busy and we weren't expecting the hotel to be in an apartment block but to be fair you can't hear any traffic and it felt very safe with cameras everywhere.

Positive: Very nice guesthouse,good coffee and for our purpose of staying here some days in Plateau absolutly fine. The owner was very kind and helped us storing our luggage even after checkout.

Positive: A lovely boutique hotel with beautifully appointed rooms and suites. The property is spotless, the beds are wonderfully comfortable and the bed linen is excellent. The monogrammed, thick bath towels even evoke the feel of the Hôtel Ritz in Paris. Service is outstanding — whatever you need, the owner is happy to deliver. Breakfast and meals are served in a small covered courtyard that makes you feel like you’re dining in someone’s home. The location is convenient on a busy street that leads up to the center and Sadega Market; rooms are soundproof so you don’t notice the traffic. Excellent value compared with larger, cookie‑cutter chain hotels. Highly recommended. (By the way, I own a 5‑star hotel, so I know a well‑run hotel when I see one. 😂)
