Positive: We stayed here to break the journey home from the Alps. Right in the centre of the town on a quiet little side street. Easy on street parking. Very easy to access from the motorway - 5 mins. We booked on the day and had the ‘family suite’. It was two small rooms, one with a single bed and one with two single beds, plus a shower room. The place is basic but had everything we needed - a hot shower, comfy beds, free WiFi, very quiet and the bonus of the separate room which was perfect for our family of 3. All at a very good price so great value. Access was via a key left in locked box outside. Excellent bakery around the corner for morning pastries.

Negative: Arcis-sur-Aube was quieter than expected and there was limited choice for dinner on a Saturday night (and we were the only customers in the pace we found ). Which is a shame as it looked like a lovely town.

Summary: Excellent value for overnight stop off

Positive: Lovely decor, easy check in

Negative: Hand to shower one-handed to hold it up and shower curtain pole keep falling own. No hooks anywhere. One window opened a crack, the other was sealed shutt and it was 30 degrees out! No air con. Fridge not on in shared kitchen. Town was suffering an attack of mosquitos - these actively pursued you. I was bitten 20+ times. Wandered round town for a beer at 8.30 on a Saturday night - nowhere open except a burger bar and a kebab shop. Room was value Feels as if it’s a work in progress. The decor is lovely and there’s been some money spent here on decor.
