Positive: The property is AMAZING! It’s beautiful, the best location in Zermatt imho, as it’s 10 minutes walk to the train station or cable cars to Furi/Schwarzee/Kl. Matterhorn, and you’re near the shops and restaurants but not right by them so it’s also peaceful. It’s a beautiful chalet, with literally everything you need. The owners are lovely and helpful, and there’s a sauna and steam room that is downstairs. The balcony has a view of the Matterhorn which isn’t that common in Zermatt, and you can sit there watching the light change through the day, and spot the climbers head torches on the mountain on a clear morning. One thing that to us wasn’t 100% clear on Booking description….there is a shower room with sink and toilet and additional a separate toilet with sink. I’d read it as just having one bathroom which was true but you have the separate toilet as well. Also a tip for visitors there’s a lovely spa bath in the hallway so it’s open plan…you may want to bring swim shorts or a swimming costume to make the most of this. :)

Negative: Nothing, one really small suggestion, the kitchen is beautifully equipped but an oven glove would be really useful.

Positive: Perfectly located in Zermatt, covers ski, aprea ski and evening programme equally… SPA zone adds to the feel… Balcony is one that you want to take home with… All what is needed is there…

Negative: Chalet is, for the obvious reasons of being rebuild old structure, quite low…. Me, being 6’7 have bumped my head around more then I would want…

Positive: View of the Matterhorn from the bedroom & deck!! Location is in the middle of the train station & gondola up to the mountain which was convenient for doing activities on both sides of the town. Warm & cozy inside, underfloor heating with big windows that opened up throughout. Everything was clean & we were met at the property & let in.

Negative: There are 2 flights of steps to get up to the front door but to be expected as on a hill.

Positive: Great location very close to the main square. Great little bakeries nearby.

Negative: Shoes in the rucksack made all the difference when walking too and from the lifts.

Positive: Chalet Schtuba is absolutely a remarkable place, perfectly located with spacious and fully equipped rooms. Charming, warm and sunny chalet with a beautiful view of Matterhorn. We were spoilt by hospitably of Daniela and her family who made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. It is highly recommended and we are definitely going to return next year!
