Located on Dufur Brook in Glen Sutton this peaceful retreat, with views of mountains and rivers and surrounded by gardens is situated in one of the most charming regions of the Eastern Townships. Sutton and its surrounding area is well known for its artists and artisans. Gift and clothing boutiques, excellent bakeries and fine dining are all within a short distance.
A twenty minute drive from Sutton village and Mansonville, three different ski hills (Jay Peak, Owl's head and Sutton), golf courses, cross country ski trails, this is a great location for skiing, snowboarding, biking, canoeing/kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, bird watching or simply taking a long walk along wooded trails or picturesque mountain roads.
Built and designed by artists using local materials, this rustic yet comfortable home is fully equipped with all that is needed to create your own ideal vacation.
We have 3 chalets on 7 beautiful acres. The Chalet Romantique and the Chalet Magnifique are linked by a long annex, but both are completely private (private entrances, gardens, gazebos and accesses to the brook, etc). Chalet Sean is independent.
Most of our guests are couples who come to experience tranquility and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds our chalets. Our guests’ sense of solitude and peace is our priority. Snowmobiles are not allowed.

Kayaks and canoes may be rented 5 minutes from the chalet.

Summary: Pristinely clean. Very comfortable bed. Lovely rustic decor with Asian touches. Candles and deep Japanese soaking tub in bathroom created romantic atmosphere. Good info provided on the area. Peaceful wooded location about a 20” drive to restaurants and grocery store.

Summary: We had such a great weekend at Chalet Romantique near Sutton! The chalet is cozy, clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect — surrounded by beautiful nature but still just a short drive to Sutton for restaurants, shops, and activities. We loved waking up to the peaceful views and spending time exploring the area. It really felt like the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Our host was amazing — super responsive and helpful, which made everything smooth and easy. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a romantic, quiet getaway in the Eastern Townships. We’ll definitely be back!

Summary: This little chalet really is a slice of heaven in the middle of beautiful gardens.It is very cozy, really welcoming and well decorated and the kitchen is well appointed.We had a amazingly relaxing weekend, which was well needed and will definitely go back.

Summary: The description and pictures of the chalet are extremely accurate but still do not prepare you for the peace and tranquility that abound. Chalet Romantique was very eclectic. The decor was a mix between mid-century modern and French country. The bed was very comfortable and the soaker tub wonderful after a day of hiking. Hot water was never a problem and the rainshower had tons of pressure. The kitchen was ridiculously well stocked (coffee grinder, espresso maker, etc.) The property is dog friendly and ours liked to watch a chipmunk from the full size dining room window. The property is beautifully landscaped and maintained. I swam once in the pond which was incredibly clean. Due to the rural location it was very quiet.At night you could see the stars with no trouble. We can’t wait to return.

Summary: We booked last minute for the eclipse after our previous plans changed. What a role of good fortune that was! This place was truly wonderful to stay at and I think the listing undersells that. There was such little details and intention in the chalet that made us feel right at home and relaxed. We ended up spending a fair amount of time on the property and it was serene. The brook in the back was our favorite and the whole experience felt very private, even with no leaves on the trees. Would definitely stay here again!

Summary: Elisa was wonderful and this place is so peaceful. Deep soaking tub, great decorations, best kitchen I've seen for cooking in. Lots of wood for the stove with other heating systems if that's not what you want. I will be staying there again. Made the perfect retreat!
