Positive: Exceptionally cozy chalet. Has all necessary for skiing ( boots and gloves wormers). A lot of games for children. Ski lifts , bus stops and shops nearby.

Positive: The chalet is exactly as pictured in the photos, it was spotless, tastefully decorated, and the check in was smooth. It has 4 bedrooms, plenty of toilets and showers, a large living room and kitchen area (well-equipped), a playroom for the kids, a laundry room, a ski room with heating for the boots and gloves and a lot of other amenities (Wifi, TVs, video games, kids games etc). Also, there is individually controlled floor heating for each room and enough hot water for 2 families of 8 people. There were a few things that worried me before getting there. First the chalet is next to the main road which is convenient, but could prove to be noisy. The soundproofing though was amazing and in any case nearly all the windows of the house are designed to be facing towards the mountain i.e. the opposite part of the road hence providing a great view and not allowing any street noise inside. A second concern was that from the photos provided it seemed that there were no shutters (only light curtains) and as I am a light sleeper I was afraid I would be waking up early in the morning. However, I was totally wrong as there are fully electrical shutters which provide total darkness in all the bedrooms and kitchen/ living room and are controlled individually or close and open all together from a central unit. Third was the fact that the chalet isn't ski in/out, but again this didn't prove to be an issue for us as the drive to Frejus/ Casse du Boeuf lifts, where the ski schools are, is very short. Note that the Pontillas lift is closer by to the chalet and if it is replaced as planned next year it will be leading to a higher altitude point on the mountain and hence connecting to other lifts of the ski area thus providing a nice alternative at walking distance. However, at its current state it leads practically nowhere, so it's best to avoid it.

Negative: The only downside would be that you do need a car to get around, but yet again most places in Serre Chevalier (unless you are staying in le Bez or in a place very close to the lifts) require a car.
