Summary: Chalet Ivy Jozankei went above and beyond our expectations. The deluxe room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed every details they had in the room, common area and restaurant. The staff were all super friendly and nice. We will definitely recommend Chalet Ivy to all of our friends and family. The dinner and breakfast meals were amazing. We had such an incredible time here that We didn’t want to leave!

Summary: Amazing ryokan. Everything was top notch, from the meals to the warm hospitality of the staff members. I can’t find anything remotely wrong with our stay and highly recommend Chalet Ivy to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable stay at one of the best ryokans in Japan. Many, many thanks to all the staff who made our stay special, and especially to Mayumi! (Visited with family members in early August.)

Summary: Friendly staff, nice spacious room with gorgeous view, private Onsen bath inside the room, 24hour lounge with local snacks and beverage. They made a special arrangement at dinner for my father’s birthday. It was really heartwarming. Thank you so much! I would like to return here in winter next time!

Summary: Beautiful views in winter. Imagine enjoying the river views from the in-room onsen. Food was farm to table and simply top notch. Staff was attentive and special call out to Yuki- he was the best.
