Positive: The host, Samuella, and her friend Frieda were lovely. The chalet was OK, nice sized terrace. Sadly, we had to leave after 1 day due to a family emergency.
Negative: Location, not very private, overlooked by neighbouring properties, noisy road. There are lots of steps to the pool. Small bedroom. Area seemed very tired and ran down, too far from the nicer areas of Como. In fact, go to Lake Garda. 5 wk tour of italy and 10 locations. This was the worst area , but we did only have 1 night and a few hours in Dongo.

Positive: We would like to thank Samuela, Sergio and their family for the amazing welcome and hospitality during our stay. The recommendations from the family and their friends for things to do were fantastic and much appreciated. We loved the chalet, the location and the local people. We were very sad to leave. The chalet is the perfect location if you have a car, the local town (dongo) is a short downhill drive away and most of the popular places to visit can be reached within 30-40 minutes with amazing scenery along the way. Samuela's daughter kindly recommended la carapigna in Gravedona for Gelato and we would recommend this too, brilliant gelato & views! The chalet has a generous balcony, a real sun trap! Everything you need is provided in the chalet for a comfortable stay.
Summary: Best hosts on Booking.com and gorgeous mountain views!

Positive: Very cozy, well equipped chalet. The hosts were kind, amazing couple, very helpful. Lovely balcony and the view.
Negative: The road to the accommodation was very narrow, on the hills, so make sure you rent a small car.

Positive: The owners greeted us as we arrived and were constantly on hand to fix any issues we might have. They were super kind and approachable which was really comforting. The location is amazing, with superb views and easy routes to drive up or down the mountain. Cooking facilities were easy to use and so was the heater.
Negative: The water heating was a bit intermittent, there is a solution to make it work more reliably so I would ask the owners when you arrive. WiFi was also a little patchy, but you’re in the mountains and in a lovely area so it wasn’t a massive issue, especially if it was just 1 person trying to access it at a time.
Summary: Lovely owners, gorgeous area

Positive: You could not meet lovelier people than the owners. Very friendly, welcoming and warm people.
Negative: The hot water would come and go, which made for an unpleasant shock in the shower.
