Nestled at the top of a hill culminating at 400m, historic capital of Brionnais with the prestigious label "Most beautiful villages in France" & "Clunisian site" steeped in history (former stronghold of Saint-Hugues abbot having worked for "greatness" of Cluny Abbey), this picturesque medieval village has an exceptional heritage (remains of the 10th century castle & its imposing "square keep", "collegiate" church & 12th century Romanesque chapel, majestic 19th century priory, town hall from the 18th century, historic residences, etc.) and enjoys a hilly rural setting rich in sublime landscapes, nestled in the hollow of the sumptuous local bocage surrounded by vast preserved wild forests.
