1 Bedroom Apartment in Brownstown, Yakima

Brand new apartments located in the Historic former 1st Baptist Church, built in 1908. All 7 units are on the upper floor of the annex on the West side of the building. The whole building has gone through a historic approved remodel. 2nd-floor units, no elevator.
2 small dogs under 30lbs are allowed at this property, no cats. There will be a 30$ pet fee added to your stay. For stays over 2 weeks we require an extra $400 deposit and any extra cleaning will be billed. If you sleep with your pet or we find pet hair in the bedding, we will charge extra for cleaning, please let us know in advance.
Apartment 207, located on the North end of the building. This is a large 685sf 2 bedroom with a 2- king beds, 2-Twin sofa bed, full-sized kitchen, Bathroom with a bath/shower combo, 50” Smart TV, original hardwood flooring.
Apartments are available for short or longer stays. There is really nothing like this in Yakima, located right in the center of town and walkable to all the downtown restaurants, wineries, breweries and bars, county courthouse and city hall. Amenities include, free high-speed cable WIFI and large smart WIFI TV, Full kitchen with full-sized stove and refrigerator, fully stocked with pots, pans and utensils. One comfortable King size bed and two Twin size sofa beds most suited for a small adult or child. Each apartment has a full-size bathtub and tiled shower combo.
Each Apartment has electric heat/air-conditioning mini-split for your comfort.
We do provide enough paper products, soap and shampoo for approximately 5 days (for 2 people), anything exceeding that you will have to provide yourself.
We have 4 washer/ dryers on site. No maid service, but we have cleaning available at extra cost.
We have off-street designated parking for 1 car and on-street parking for others.
If you sleep with your pet or we find pet hair in the bedding, we will charge extra for cleaning, please let us know in advance.

Summary: This was a very unique place to stay. The unit itsef was terrific. There was just a little too much light from the YMCA across the alley that was hard to cover with the blinds.

Summary: Love the high ceilings, original distressed fir floors. Nice layout. Easy walk to coffee and restaurants. Did not have any issues with the homeless people.

Summary: Clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay. I loved the repurposing of an old building. Friendly neighbors behind Church with watchful eyes on things. Like most large cities it suffers from the desperate not violent. Wish the downtown area didn't feel so sad. One suggestion lower rent in these buildings significantly. Better to have tenants with little profit than a ghost town. I feel this building and its investor is trying that very thing. Nice to see it in action.

Summary: Loved visiting the Yakima Valley, and this property was a great location for us. Easy to access. Near some really good restaurants and breweries.

Summary: We were in town visiting family. The apartment was bigger than expected. Windows are thin & could hear a lot of outside noise. Overall, not bad though.

Summary: Very nice property inside, the two bedroom was very spacious, open main room with vaulted ceiling, full kitchen, comfortable beds and big closets, would be a nice place for a long term stay. The location is within walking distance to many nice restaurants and shopping, 1 minute from I82 freeway. Parking and unloading was easy! The neighborhood I would call sketchy! A lot of homeless folks hanging out, sleeping near the entrance but we weren’t bothered by anyone during our stay. There were 3 coded locked doors to get by before entering the living area, we never felt unsafe . The property has a lot of character , very clean inside , beautiful original wood floors. I would stay here again.

Summary: We had a lovely stay in Yakima for the Fresh Hop Festival. Conveniently located within walking distance of pretty much anything downtown. Our two-bedroom apartment provided an open comfortable space for the three of us. We felt perfectly safe and being on the backside of the building helped buffer any street noise. We look forward to staying again during the Harvest Season. Thank you for your hospitality! We had a wonderful time.

Summary: The place was wonderful and the property managers were very helpful. It was a bit of an ordeal getting in as the email instructions came in a separate email apart from VRBO. It ended up in my spam folder. The property requires security codes at two different doors. The code given to me did not work at either door. A provisional code was given to me and we were finally able to get in. There was a little problem with stains on some bedding, but the hosts rectified that immediately. Overall good experience.

Summary: I am very sad the homeless were outside everywhere. but they did respect the Church property. They were polite as we came and went. I still love this place and will come again. The hosts were kind and very helpful.
