Positive: The minute I walked in I loved the feel of it. It was lashing rain and tbh it helped raise my spirits. The whole decor was amazing. The place was spotless. Well equipped. Warm and homely. Very central. I loved everything, it was my favourite place.

Positive: The property is in a great location for visiting the local Cairns sites on foot and is also easy to access day trips heading in all directions. There is a supermarket and shopping centre very close and Rusty's market is only a short walk away. The kitchen was well set up making it easy to prepare meals at home. There is a great outdoor eating area. The size of the house was perfect for our family of four. The outdoor shower was great too! We liked being able to keep up to the washing with the on-site washer and dryer.

Negative: The great location being close to the city does mean that there is obviously going to be traffic noise, however given all the great things about this place, it is worth the slight noise. Note, that we live in a rural area and are not used to a lot of traffic noise at home.

Summary: Absolutely loved our stay in Cairns at Cathy's cottage.
