Positive: The breakfast service and selection was fantastic. The wedding food was exceptional also and the staff first class.

Negative: The bar area needed more attention. The tables were left dirty as was the floor under the table. It didnt open til midday so after breakfast there was no place for a coffee in the hotel til midday. The function chairs were not fit for purpose being old rickety and worn out and missing cushions. The red carpet was being vacuumed as guests arrived . As guests took wine on terrace chairs were stacked up and removed on luggage trolleys to the reception venue. A venue this size should have ample chairs in good condition. The rooms although comfortable are a bit old fashioned in todays market.

Summary: Lovely stay for a fantastic wedding. Rooms need modernising and facilities need upgrading.Overpriced

Positive: Outdoor beauty, location, those blackberry/rose candles.

Negative: The Jacuzzi wasn’t working, even though I asked about that before my arrival and was told that it would be fixed. I also noticed that the shower was not clean! There was mold in the corner on the floor of the shower… like no one is scrubbing the corners.

Summary: All in all, I was happy with the service and staff and beauty of the grounds. I also enjoyed having bikes to ride.
