Positive: The location is amazing and what you are paying for. It is super convenient to the castle and many other popular attractions. Great view of the castle. If you are hoping to view the NYE fireworks from the apartment, note that the fireworks display is on the north side of the castle and the apartment is on the south side of the hill. The kitchen is very well stocked.

Negative: The late check in policy is ridiculous. Our luggage was delayed, so we arrived at approximately 1910 and they still charged us the fee. The person greeting us is completely unnecessary and didn’t tell us anything that wasn’t in the apartment welcome binder. The bed is not comfortable. You can hear everything from the upstairs apartment. The shower is very small. There are no shelves in the bathroom to put toiletries. You can hear doors slamming throughout the building making it difficult to sleep. The water heater makes an intermittent squeaking noise.

Positive: Loved everything! The place was immaculate, the bed was comfortable, and the separate lounge area made it very homey. It is located in very close proximity to pubs and a sainsburys for groceries. The bedroom is toward the rear of the property, so it's not noisy at night, and there is a lovely courtyard view. Views of edinburgh castle from the front window. Short walk to the Royal mile and the heart of old town. Facilities were great, and the customer service was exceptional and very responsive. Couldn't fault our stay and would definitely stay again.

Negative: Not a negative just a note for people - the shower is quite small so may not be suitable for some sizes

Positive: Centrally located in Old Town. Beautiful views of the Castle. Not too noisy even in the busyness of the central location.

Negative: Check in was rather complicated as one is expected to give an exact time of arrival. Despite my best efforts I still had to wait for someone to arrive to unlock the property. Directions to the property not accurate and can be simplified.

Summary: Had a lovely stay and special time with my family in Edinburgh.
