Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had 12 adults and 7 children, with plenty of room for all. Having 2 dishwashers and 2 refrigerators was wonderful. The kids had a blast at the pool and being directly on the beach was so nice. The beach was beautiful and uncrowded. There were plenty of great restaurants nearby. We would love to come back some day.

Summary: The house is great for families. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. Great gathering space on first level and the kitchen was stocked well. 2 refrigerators and stoves and sinks/dishwashers is a plus! We needed one thing during our stay and we texted property manager. He brought it right over!

Summary: Our family has gathered on the Gulf Coast for more than 40 yrs. As our family grows so does the property need. The Castle in the Sand was perfect: enough bedrooms , several gathering spaces and short private beach access. We loved the open well equipped kitchen and large dining table. Overall a GREAT week.

Summary: We have been coming to the gulf for over 20 years and this place Castle in the Sand West was by far our favorite! Plenty of spaces to be alone or gather together as a group of 17. Very well stocked kitchen for family meals. Private beach, swimming pool and great communication with host Greg…what more could you ask for?

Summary: Wow! Our stay at Castle in the Sand West was fabulous! Our large family group (ages 8 months through 85 years) enjoyed a wonderful beach vacation, thanks largely to this beautiful facility and location. Beyond having clean and well thought out accommodations, here are some of the highlights. • We had our own uncrowded beach close to the house. We didn’t have to claim our spot early in the morning. We didn’t feel like we had to take everything out to the beach because we could easily walk back to the house to get a drink or some other thing we had left on the large deck. To the west was a stretch of isolated beach which was great for walks and shell hunting. • The house was well arranged for togetherness and fellowship in the living area and the kitchen and dining area were large, well supplied, and inviting. The separate ice maker was very convenient. The southern and western windows allowed for an excellent view of beach, water, and sunsets. • The large entry area was very helpful for storing golf clubs and other stuff we had brought on our trip. • The pool and deck were perfect for our group, and was a wonderful place to lounge, talk, and play. • The bedrooms allowed for retreat from the group, and the rooms were well insulated from sound. The bunkroom was great for our kids. • Greg, with Alabama vacation rentals, was EXTREMELY responsive and helpful, answering questions promptly prior to our trip, but, in reality, I never had to contact him during our stay because everything was in order. OK, the Wi-Fi should have been faster and another washer/dryer would have been helpful. And I prefer Saturday to Saturday rental (some of our group had to leave a day early to get back to Arkansas), but these issues in no way disrupted a fantastic trip to Orange Beach. Thank you, Greg, VRBO, and owners for a great beach experience!
