Positive: A lovely old house with an interesting history. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Just a short walk from the town. It wasn’t the weather for the garden but in summer you could sit outside and enjoy an evening picnic. Our room was lovely.

Positive: Sophie and Fredric are very warm and welcoming. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are beautifully decorated. The breakfast was like a feast, with plenty of various fruits, eggs, juices, coffee, homemade jams, and pastries. We felt right at home and hope to return soon!

Positive: Sophie and her family were excellent hosts. For breakfast, we were treated each morning to pie (tarte in French) made with local fruits. The room was very quiet at night, there was no traffic to be heard. I wasn't even bothered by the street lights, because the city turns them off at 2300 hours (very common in rural France). Normally I am a very light sleeper, but I had no problem here. My only regret is I didn't spend more time in the valley.

Negative: Be aware that they want a good idea of when you will be arriving. I would suggest texting them when you think you are about a half hour away.

Summary: A quiet, relaxing stay in one of the prettiest regions in France.

Positive: Sophie made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and included home made jams and cake. Walking distance to town. Very quiet location with private parking and lovely gardens. Comfy bed and excellent shower.

Negative: No kettle but Sophie provided hot water on request and they are installing a kitchen for the guests

Positive: Sophie is a charming and welcoming host. Breakfast is served on wonderful China and the option to eat in her lovely garden in warm weather is magical. Some of the best croissants we've had A glass of volnay before setting off to dinner is a wonderful touch. Sophie deserves real success in her venture

Negative: The main gate is very tight and on a bend which makes access difficult and probably impossible for large cars

Positive: The location is in a small remote village, easily found by GPS. Lots of free parking. Flourishing gardens, lovely outside patio areas, wonderful break from frantic metro pace. Spacious bedroom and bath. Generous French breakfast. Lovely owners willing to share their rehab experiences. And a glass of local wine!
