Gated New Mexico Southwest Casita, with private patios, views of the lights of Albuquerque, plus volcanoes and the Sandia Mountains. Hot air balloons launch on most mornings around our house. Enjoy sunsets, wildlife like; quail, roadrunners and the sounds of coyotes moving thought the desert on a nightly prowl. During the sunsets you will see Great Horned Owls swooping down to get their nightly snacks while thought-out the day you will see, Red-tailed Hawks, Turkey Vultures and "Cooper's" Hawks fly over daily. Plus we just added a private blocked in back patio and out door kitchen facing west, to enjoy our fantastic high desert sunsets - Natures best.

Summary: The Casita was a delightful home away from home while visiting our son in Albuquerque. Mike & Bernie are wonderful hosts and made our stay memorable. The Casita is clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a short or long stay. The area is safe, quiet, beautiful and close to amazing shopping, restaurants and attractions. We enjoyed dining out as well as eating in, utilizing the well stocked kitchen and grill. We highly recommend The Casita…you will not be disappointed! We are already looking forward to a return visit!

Summary: We stayed five days while visiting family nearby. The remote location felt like home (we live in the country), and Mike and Bernie made us feel like family. We have recommended them to family that might visit the area in the future. Nothing was lacking--no complaints.

Summary: Michael and Bernie are great hosts and very nice. The Casita is very clean, comfortable and well stocked with basic kitchen and bathroom supplies. The location is peaceful with a beautiful view of the Sandia Mountains. We would stay here agsin.

Summary: Well maintained and beautiful stay just a step outside the city and beautiful views, very comfortable and clean and the hosts are extremely nice and helpfulDespite being along the main house, its well and private, and nice and quiet at night. Would definitely stay here again in the future

Summary: This VRBO is outstanding. The place is well stocked with extra towels, snacks, kitchenware, and information on local attractions. You can also choose from a collection of 900 dvd movies. The hosts were great and very helpful. You will have to drive a bit to see the sights in Albuquerque or Santa Fe.

Summary: I had to visit Rio Rancho for a funeral. Bernie and Mike were truly wonderful hosts. The property is beautiful and well kept. If we find ourselves back in New Mexico, we will definitely want to stay here.
