Positive: A cozy, traditional house in a mountain area. With all the necessary kitchen equipment, very clean, and surrounded by beautiful, old cork oak trees that create a unique vibe. Also, there is a large parking area, which is not so common in Portugal.

Positive: Wonderful peaceful location, beautiful clean house and very spacious living area and kitchen. Hosts are friendly and they sent messages to make sure we were OK during the visit. Orchard where we could pick lemons and avocados. Excellent shaded terrace area with very good barbeque. Kitchen is well equipped. Close to Monchique for exploring region and local ceramics/artists but also feels secluded. Very friendly neighbours.
Negative: There could have been more attention to basic things like having enough cleaning cloths, soap/washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, lavatory paper, kitchen roll and charcoal for the duration of the stay. We bought most of these things to top up but other accommodation we have stayed in includes them. We also missed having shutters - very important in Portugal!
Summary: Excellent stay - definitely worth returning.
