Positive: The location is spectacular. When you get up with sunrise it’s beautifully mystical. The room was spacious with 2 full beds and 1 single bed. Breakfast was simple but decent.

Negative: We arrived relatively late around 18.30 during the week in early October. Dinner at the location is not possible, finding a restaurant open though in any village around the place also mission impossible during off season. So after driving around for 1 hr in the area checking several restaurants this meant: eating a banana for dinner. Checkout a little strange as well: no one to be found at the property around 10am. So left the key in the door and left.

Summary: Nice place, I guess in summer even nicer.

Positive: The location is outstanding, very remote with fabulous rural views across the mountainous valleys and vineyards. The very old building is charming. Many thanks to Christine who bravely led a tasting evening with 4 Swiss and 2 Brits, despite her concerns, she was great!

Negative: The breakfast room lacked character, it seemed large and empty, but in fairly good order. There was a mix up over our room, but this was swiftly sorted without any fuss to us. These things are minor and did not detract from the experience. We hope to return.

Positive: Peaceful, nice breakfast. Comfy bedroom. Pleasant staff.

Negative: This is a suggestion not a dislike. What would have been useful would be having a bigger list of restaurants in the area explaining days closed and must reserve. As Cascina is in quite a lonely location it would make it a little easier. Many thanks

Positive: Staff are wonderful. Appreciated their care and attention. Visit Civico 41 pizzeria in town. Friendly, fantastic food and easy to get to!

Negative: Note no restaurant on site but good facilities for basic self catering provided. Such a shame no coffee making facilities outside breakfast. I need my coffee throughout the day!
