Positive: Second time staying in casa Outeiro while walking the Camino. Great communication with the host. Very clean and spacious rooms. Clean as usual and it was very nice to stay in the village above the hill.

Positive: Our unit had a cabin feel to it. The entrance was into a dining room-cum-living room area with a kitchenette in the corner. The bedroom with 2 single beds was comfortable. The suitcase stand was unusual.

Negative: The entrance into the bathroom went down steep wooden stairs with no hand rail. Not safe for seniors or the infirm. The shower drain cover was detached and the shower floor was very slippery.

Positive: Right by the Camino trail, nice host.

Negative: A bit more rustic than I was expecting. My room was very dark and did not look like the featured photos. It’s at the top of a very steep hill so after a long day of walking, it’s a painful descent into town and then back up again. I had my own stand alone building which is sort of nice but also isolating as a solo traveller.

Positive: The owner was over the top great. We had to exit the Camino due to a medical issue not related to the hike. He drove us into town and helped us find the doctor and pharmacy. We are so grateful for his service.

Summary: It is the first hotel as you enter Samos. The pictures are understated.
