Positive: This property is a hidden gem. Quiet location. The room was incredible. Spotlessly clean. What stood out the most to us was the wonderful staff, Valentina and Lorenzo, the owners, Thomas our lovely server, Christina the room attendant and Patricia the amazing chef. We felt very special being their guests. We stayed four nights and ate there every evening. The food was so good. Fresh and delicious and very good value.

Positive: Love for things always bears excellent fruit. A moving experience. Exceptional service, food, and rooms with a different four-course menu every evening. Authentic atmosphere and every comfort. The staff was fantastic and provided us with lots of helpful advice and interesting information about the house's history. Valentina made us feel at home with an extraordinary welcome. An enchanting place where time stands still. At night, the magic descends. We stayed two more days and it was fantastic! We will return, we will experience it again and again. Highly recommended.

And a place we didn't know: Casaforte la Bastide, a fantastic boutique hotel in Ferrara welcomed us like this: with art among cypresses, silence as a companion and the freedom for Penny to feel part of the landscape too... A charming residence where simplicity becomes art, every detail is chosen with love and the olive trees perfume the silence... We walked among the sculptures, listened to the silence, I saw my coke-eater Penny fall asleep in the sun, as well as among the cushions... We spoke with people who know how to welcome with elegance and discretion. In this place everything speaks of harmony: the welcome that has the grace of those who truly love what they offer, the landscape that watches the sunset during dinner with very fresh and truly delicious local products, the nature that grows without borders... A charming refuge for those seeking grace, silence and beauty without ostentation. Maximum care and cleanliness everywhere and a spectacular location. A place that remains in the heart to return again and again.

The dinner is of the highest quality with rich and refined dishes, tasty and typical of the area. The breakfasts are truly unforgettable and delicious with a lot of choice and homemade products. Impeccable cleaning. Very comfortable bed and refined fabrics. Truly a dream. Really high quality/price ratio. So beautiful that we stayed an extra night!! A highly recommended experience!! We also discovered Ferrara, a true medieval jewel. Everything is wonderful, we will return!!

Positive: A place that enters your heart. The structure, beautiful and perfectly restored where even the meticulous details make the difference. The staff is extraordinary and knows how to be present and recommend everything. The breakfast is superb as is the romantic candlelit dinner. Impeccable cleanliness, silence, relaxation, pampering. A dream. We also had a picnic in the olive grove and it seemed like we were in paradise!! Honestly, in all aspects it is the best place we have ever been. Absolutely to return for a long stay.
