Positive: Overall the apartment was nice. Really liked the big terrace and the big variety of kitchen equipment. Also the deck chairs at the beach and bicycles were an extra bonus to our stay that we really enjoyed and appreciated.

Negative: The apartment is really close to the train tracks so it was noisy. For the ones who are sensitive to noise, could be a problem. And a sofa would have been nice inside or at least the outdoor furniture could have soft cushions.

Positive: Very close to the beach, restaurants and shops. The apartment is clean, very well furnished and decorated with impeccable taste. Marco, the host, is probably the friendliest man in Italy. We absolutely loved our stay.

Negative: We were worried at first that the nearby trains would be disturbing, but it didn't bother us at all.

Positive: A cozy, studio apt. in a nice building. The owner tried to be accommodating and was quick to respond. The apartment is near Savassi, and food shopping and restaurants are available within a short, walking distance, although up a steep hill and steps. All this becomes easy if you have a car and can use the garage or find street parking.

Negative: The problems were of two types: We did not understand the language and the host did not speak English but tried her best to translate and make herself clear. The other type was that we are seniors and are not adept at using attachments, codes, etc., so it wasn't easy to figure out what to do. Luckily, the host had a cleaning lady available who guided us into the right garage, etc.

Summary: An excellent choice, centrally located, for those of you who speak Portuguese.
