Positive: The apartment was spacious and very clean. There is a lovely view over the sea from the main bedroom. There is a nice outdoor shaded eating area at the back of the apartment and a pleasant small and private area at the front where you can sit in the sun.

Negative: The apartment is not very well sound-insulated and during the three weeks we were there we were regularly woken up early in the morning by noisy children next door who appear to be permanent residents. We mentioned this to the hosts on our second day and they tried to resolve it by speaking to the neighbours. Following that, the noise lessened for a few days but then resumed. Fortunately there was never any noise in the evenings or nights. Towards the end of our stay we started to hear some daytime noise from a very close by building site. The apartment could be improved with the installation of some heating. We were rather cold on many evenings as our stay was in February/March. There was a Camping Gas heater in the living room but we didn't want to use it as we were frightened by the possibility of it creating carbon monoxide fumes. Lastly we were disappointed not to have the use of a dishwasher. On our arrival the hosts informed us that it was broken. They brought an engineer on our fourth day but because of lack of parts he couldn't repair it. We didn't hear any more until two days before our departure but by then we didn't want to be disturbed by another engineer visit.

Positive: A spacious, well decorated and equipped property with beautiful furniture and many pictures. Generally quiet neighbourhood, a few minutes drive from the motorway, 10 minutes from Puerto de la Cruz centre or La Orotava. Friendly and helpful hosts.

Negative: It did not particularly bother me, but my wife was disturbed at times by the noise of young neighbouring children. The beds are very firm.
