Positive: The gardens are lovely with lots of space. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is lots of space in the living room. Lots of outside seating you can move around to be in sun or shade and a nice pool.

Negative: There a number of issues with the property some big and some small. We have stayed in villas all over Europe. This is the first one where in 2 weeks no one came in at least weekly to change the beds and towels etc. We ended up having to look through all the drawers in the property to find clean ones and do this ourselves. There were real problems with the pool area. Many of the tiles and edgings were broken causing potential trip hazards of risk of cuts. The tiles around were also very slippery so 2 of us fell. This combined with the many changes of levels meant I would not recommend this villa for children because of the risk of them falling. There was hand rail to get into the pool despite it being shown in pictures. The brick BBQ shown does not actually work although the is a free standing alternative. But there were no tools provided so we had to buy them. Again this not what I would have expected. There was inadequate storage space for clothes. Lots of hanging room but no chest of drawers so we had to cram our other clothes on a very small number of inaccessible shelves. There were plumbing problems in the upstairs bathroom. The shower didn’t drain and there was a risk of back surge when the toilet was flushed. This was clearly known a a plunger was provided. One of the pool side umbrellas was broken although it could be used with extreme care. I know it was end of season but the villa felt tired. Dealing with a few details would raised the standard and therefore my score

Summary: We were slightly disappointed and there was just a lack of attention to detail that would have made all the difference.
