Positive: Huge private room, with partial full view of Volcan San Pedro. Very nice hosts, Rooftop terrace to enjoy sunset from. Use of washing machine included, which was an absolute godsend.

Negative: While site says "no prepayment needed, pay on site," it would be nice to see clearly "cash only."

Positive: I booked a room for one month from December to January. On Christmas Eve, I was invited to help wrap tamales, to eat tamales for lunch, and I was invited to Christmas Eve dinner. Traveling alone, it felt like I was part of their family. They even bought me a Christmas gift and wrapped it! Rebecca gave me the phone number for an affordable bird guide who took me to see the resplendent quetzal twice. Laundry service is offered in house. The store across the street cooked me four eggs every morning for a good price. The day I checked out, the family cooked a very large and tasty going away breakfast. I cannot say enough nice things about Rebecca and her family. Thank you for the nice memories.

Positive: I especially liked the roof terrace and the fully equipped kitchen. As with many places in Guatemala there were nightly noises of cockerels and dogs, and early/late construction sounds and fireworks, but this is not easy to avoid! We used the home as a base for exploring Lago de Atitlán and climbing Volcan Atitlan to spot quetzals. Rebeca is a friendly, helpful and experienced host.

Negative: I did not like the inability to ventilate the shower room we were using and the ceiling in there is only about 6' (1.8m). The large window in that particular shower room and from the bedroom into the hall is also disconcerting (though the bedroom one has curtains)! It was also difficult to find based on the address given - key information is that the house is at the top of a flight of steps between two buildings, almost opposite Tienda Chonita. I would have appreciated some more hooks in the room.

Positive: Rebeca sent pictures to help locate the room. They were great and made finding the house very easy. Room was nice and everything was clean. Rebeca greeted me and showed me around. She also helped me find a tour guide. She was very welcoming.

Positive: We stayed at Rebeca house and it was amazing! She care about us very well! We arrived late evening and she prepared sauna in her house with beautiful view. We stayed one night. Thanks a lot!
