Thanks to its central location, it’s the ideal base for exploring the surrounding villages as well as visiting Florence. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, culture, or the beauty of the Chianti region, you’ll find it all here. A place to enjoy and one you’ll long to return to.

Positive: This place is wonderful: breathtaking views and a very well appointed apartment. It's an old stone farmhouse building, but completely renovated on the inside, including the all-important air conditioning. Plan to stay one more day here than you were originally thinking. You wont regret it. Practical considerations: this place would be great for two couples, or two friends traveling together, or a family of four or five. The two bedrooms are both big enough and each have their own air conditioning. There is a separate living room from the dining/kitchen area, plus lots of outdoor spaces to gather. Note: there is a sister apartment immediately adjacent, called Casa Alta (same owner). My friends and I rented both and It was really perfect for us. But even if you don't know the people right next-door, the old stone walls are quite thick and I did not hear any noises from the adjacent apartment. There is a third apartment, Casa Ana in a separate building just across the driveway. So if you have a big group, or a few families, you could rent all three. But conversely, you won't be bothered by others occupying those spaces if you don't know them. Casa Alta is slightly smaller than Casa Pratolino, but still 2 bed/2 bath. Two more outstanding features: (1) the hostess, Ana, could not be more helpful, hospitable, and friendly. She met us upon our arrival, gave us the keys and showed us around. (2) the restaurant on site (literally about 20 steps from where you stay) is called La Cantinetta Di Rignana; you sit outside with breathtaking views of the vineyard and countryside. And the food was one of the best meals I had in three weeks in Italy.

Negative: because you're in an actual vineyard, there will be bugs/flies/bees when outside. But that's not a criticism of this property; just beware of your choice to live on a farm.

Positive: Gorgeous well equipped apartment. Felt modern but still charming at the same time. Ana was very helpful and communication was great. The popular (but separate) restaurant on the same compound was ideal for us to enjoy a nice meal and wine in the evening without driving. Pool was lovely.

Negative: The only downside for me was the outside space. There were people in the next apartment so privacy was an issue with sitting outside. They have tried to deal with this with other sitting areas but it’s a bit make-shift. The gardens and outside areas (the bins nearby were not pleasant) could do with some attention but overall still a fantastic and beautiful place.

Positive: Spectacularly beautiful and comfortable. A very quiet and beautiful spot with lovely garden in the heart of Tuscany. Exactly what we were looking for. There is also an excellent restaurant next-door that we ate at 3 times. We traveled with 4 young kids and everyone loved it - great for families looking for some peace and quiet

Negative: The location is a mixed-bag. The isolation and beauty are great, but it's a significant drive to most nearby attractions (florence, sienna, san giminiagno, etc). There are tons of lovely vineyards and villiages nearby, but to get to the major tuscan cities it's 45' to an hour

Positive: The location was perfect in the hills just outside of Panzano, right next to a wonderful restaurant. The property had a perfect view of the hills and vineyards of Chianti. The apartment itself was very clean, quality furnishings that were clearly new, and most importantly allowed us to relax!! While the location was a bit off the main road, it was perfect for our family to enjoy some quiet time. Our host was wonderful as well as she was there to greet us, made a reservation for lunch at the restaurant and made sure we got our passports back after accidentally forgetting them! Highly recommend staying here!!
