Positive: Thank you for a wonderful stay. The house truly feels like a “home away from home.” Everything is very well thought out and fully equipped — nothing felt lacking. The view is beyond lovely - I spent my time lounging, reading and just looking out. The kitchen is complete with homely dinnerware, and the bathroom is clean, efficient, and very comfortable to use. We especially appreciated the small but practical details, such as drying mode in the bathroom - laundry is always a worry on travels, not this time. The toiletries were thoughtfully selected and gentle on skin. The hot tub that could be reheated is such a treat in the cold evenings. The beds were comfortable, and the provided pyjamas were a nice touch. I could wear them the whole day to be honest. A stay that is both restful and refined — ideal for those looking for something more private and off the usual path. We had a very comfortable stay and would happily return. This is a destination on its own.

Positive: We had a really lovely stay here with my daughter. The house is private and has everything we needed, including an in-house onsen, a washing machine, a full kitchen, and very comfortable beds. It made our stay easy and very relaxing. The location is in a quiet rural area in Japan, which we really enjoyed. It felt peaceful and away from the crowds. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. They even offered to drive us to a nearby village instead of letting us take the bus, which we really appreciated. They also prepared both breakfast and dinner for us, and everything was delicious. We truly recommend this place if you are looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay.6

Positive: It is a beautiful house, with wonderful meals. The hosts shared with us their stories and even showed us their goats. So if you are ever here in Miyama, book a stay here!

Positive: The hosts were really friendly and accommodating. The house is historical yet thoughtfully remodeled and furnished with everything you need and things you didn't know you would need. Private location and beautiful town made a beautiful, quiet getaway from the crazy Kyoto tourist crowds.
Negative: Overall the stay was superb, but if I have to be picky - the bathtub room had no exhaust fan. Need to open window after showering and this made the changing/sink area very cold in the morning in Nov.
Summary: Beautiful getaway. 2 nights was not enough.

Positive: It was marvelous experience! The property was super clean, stylish and cosy. The japanese garden and the gallery were amazing. The dinner and breakfast were super delicious! And the host were very welcoming!
