Positive: The shower and toilet is shared and it wasn't even on the same floor. It's a long walk from the hotel to the centre of Antigua. Considering the price and the circumstances it is not value for money. However people with a car may appreciate the location, cleanliness and very pleasant and helpful staff.

Positive: The room is very comfortable and clean, and Xiomara the receptionist was very kind to us, she arranged our rides to the airport and she let us borrow an umbrella as it was raining.

Negative: The neighborhood is far from Antigua’s center, and there is no A/C in the rooms.

Summary: Good value, nice staff, but place very far from Antigua’s center.

Positive: The cost of the room for what you get is super fair. The property is very clean and the neighborhood is quiet. You can easily take a tuk-tuk to get into the more happening parts of Antigua as well. I thought the bed was very comfortable!

Positive: Loved this place! It's the best of both worlds from a hotel and hostel. There are excellent and clean facilities (shared bathroom and kitchen), and also the comfort of a private room with a soft bed, dressing gowns and a quiet area. The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond, the place is so well maintained and so clean. The location was excellent for us because we wanted to stay a bit away from the busy and loud Antigua. From the main road of Jocotenango (which is a 3 minute walk from Casa Miranda) it is Q4 (40p) to catch any bus taking you into town. The journey is about 15 mins. And likewise it is easy to get a bus back, any bus going to Pastores or San Isidoro will take you up the main road of Jocotenango. WiFi is excellent, shower is hot, can't praise Casa Miranda enough.

Negative: This is only me nitpicking but only a suggestion: there are only three saucepans (1 tiny one for hot drinks, 1 small one for sauce, 1 enormous pressure cooker). An extra medium or large saucepan and lid would have been excellent for cooking easy meals like pasta and tomato sauce, or rice.

Summary: Cannot recommend enough
