Positive: The staff were incredible, the ladies in the evening when we arrived helped me with my bags as I had a rather worn out little baby. They also came with wee toys to entertain him at the table while we waited for food, which came very quickly & the battered fish was delicious. George in the morning for breakfast was lovely, his baby girl is a similar age, so was sweet to have someone so understanding and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious (the previous night I'd stayed in a fancy hotel on our road trip, not impressed) Casa Mere beat their breakfast 100x over, just so so yummy! The mushrooms were on point & they poached an egg for my wee boy... & he demolished it all, so I'm taking that as a good review from him too! Room & bed were fab & very comfy, as was the sofa bed thing, super soft. I was able to move that towards the bed so that i could safely co-sleep with my toddler too, very handy! Would definitely recommend!!!

Negative: I couldn't work the fan (but it is a freakish heat wave across the uk) they can't control the weather though!

Positive: Interesting property, no doubt ok for pre-flight stay. The staff were very nice and the pub /restaurant was very nice. Parking was easy.

Negative: My room upstairs was a bit of a trek with luggage up the windy stairs. My real gripe is the room I stayed in -perfectly appointed for the price range and bed / shower was fine, but it only had a tiny window in the corner which you couldn't escape from in an emergency. Felt claustrophobic. Whether the other rooms were better I can't say - I did book with just 3 hours notice so I couldn't expect much.

Summary: Good value, suitable if you have a car.

Negative: Plumbing was horrendous, could hear the sump pump everytime toilet was flushed or used the shower, could even hear when other guests used theirs as well. Pump didn't kick in when I used the shower in the morning and almost flooded the bathroom, turned it off before it over flowed.
